So this one is a little different. With Amazon Prime, you have the option of ordering a beauty box (when available.) There are several boxes available at any given time, and prices range from $11 to $25 for regular to luxury products. This particular one is $11.99. They also offer a few men’s boxes. The way it works is: you buy the box, full of sample size products, and a few days after the box arrives, you get a credit in the amount you spent on the box, in your account to spend on any full size item that was in the box. Its a great concept, if a little hard to understand at first. It took me a few read-throughs to grasp… but I’m a sleep deprived mom, so I might have been a little dense.
Lets take a look, shall we?
There is a great little card upon opening the box, with a nice message and some information on what you are getting. Everything was packaged with purple tissue, and there were no leaks, even though there was some liquid products.
OK, so it was a little haphazard, but everything got there on one piece, so they are doing something right. There is actually quite a bit of stuff in here!
First we have Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, Acure Cleansing Towelettes. I love these because we camp so much, these are great to have in my bag. I don’t have to worry about having water, and while camping, I can stay in my tent to wash my face. I have used Simple before, but never the Acure. I like the simple because it left my skin clean and soft, and I didn’t break out. There was also some Fekkai Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner that I’ll throw in my travel bag.
I like proactive, and it was a pretty good size. Aveeno is also great, I use that every day, and it works great on my skin. I absolutely love when a beauty box sends moisturizers with sunscreen in them. I don’t generally use them without it because I am outside so much. I haven’t yet used the Neutrogena, but I have heard good things about this cleanser.
I am really enjoying the way Amazon put this box together. there seems to be a running wellness theme here, and I like that there is literally a little bit of everything you could want. I’ll use the mouth care products, and I love that they sent a white strip as well.
If you know me at all, you know I LOVE lip products, but I don’t wear a lot of bright colors because they end up on my teeth. I was happy to see these in the box as well. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Lip Shine is a great product, and this color, Radiant Rose is a really nice sheer neutral pink that looks great on a number of skin tones. The Elf Beautifully Bare Touch of Nude is a smidge too brown for me by itself, but it will look nice under the sheer pink of the gloss.
Did anyone else get this box? Did you get different products? Would you try it knowing you would get a credit?
